As part of our semester long Inquiry Arc project, our Orange Band (1st Graders) learned about the water cycle this week. First, we watched a fun magic school bus video to introduce the topic. Next, students read an article with their Yellow Band (5th Grade) buddies and wrote a paragraph about what they read.
Finally, they drew a landscape picture with their buddies and used clay to create stop motion videos. Their videos showed how the water moves through the water cycle on their pictures. Students used iPads to take pictures of the clay moving in the same way that water does in the water cycle. They then turned these pictures into a stop motion video using the Stop Motion app.
